CSK CLAN MEMBERSHIP
CSKillers has been a Counter Strike Source Clan now for over a year, we have many people that come to our server and within a few min ask us if they can join the clan. Unfortunately this is not how we run things here at CS Killers, although we want to become a strong multi member clan, we want our members to be around for a long time not just a few days. For that reason we have a procedure for bringing new members into the clan.
First and foremost CSK membership is by invite ONLY! Although we ask and require people to fill out an application, this is just a formal procedure so that we know that you are interested
in joining and so that you visit the cskillers web site and view this information so that you know what you can expect from CSK and what CSK requires of you as a clan member.
Before anyone becomes a CSK Clan member we ask them to read the below information to really see if you are really interested in joining a clan.
Do you think you've got what it takes to be a CSK clan member? No, Really think about it!
CSK requires our members to be active and show up for clan functions and clan meetings, we also require our members to be respectable members of gaming.
CSKillers is a different breed of a clan, we do things differently, we run a tight ship here and expect our members to follow our rules at all times.
Do you really want to be in a clan?
You really need to give this one some thought, what are you looking to get out of being in a clan, what does being in a clan mean to you. CSK believes that all our members are extended family, we help each other from everything from gaming to girlfriend/boyfriend problems. Are you a loner gamer or do you like team work? being in CSK means your part of a family.
Can you put forth the effort to help CSK grow?
CSK is looking to grow into a multi player, multi game clan, we have no limits on the members we will enlist, so are you looking for a small clan or are you capable to help us reach our full potential and help CSK grow as a strong family gaming clan?
Can you be a role model for other members or players coming to our servers?
We are looking for members who can assist our own members as well as other players who come to our server, everyone starts somewhere and when some players come to our server they may not be experienced gamers, are you willing to help and assist other players and become a role model?
Are you dedicated enough? Do you play online enough to be in a clan? (No being online once a week is not enough!)
This is a very important subject as no clan can be a complete clan if there members are not online and playing, what good is it to be or run a clan if its members are never online and playing on its servers? CSK does not expect our members to be online 24/7 but we do require you to be online and playing more than and hour or 2 a week. Most of our members are online and playing every night so it is important for you to get online and play a bit each night with your clan members, not only to be online but you must also be active in our forums and take part in conversations, most of the way our clan functions rely on communication and our web site is at the core of this communication gateway.
Can you be proud to wear the CSK clan tag at all times?
Not only being in CSK and following the above rules is important but one of the most prestigious rights of being a CSK member is wearing the clan tag, our clan tag means you are part of the family and for this reason wearing your tag and displaying it at all times is required. Members who do not have their tag on will be removed from the clan, this means you can not go over to another server and remove your clan tag even when instructed to do so from the admin's of another server or if you go scrimming with another clan, you must defend your clan and your tag as well as your right to display your tag at all cost. We do not tolerate Multi Clanning.
Do you show and deserve respect?
Respect is earned in CSK, not only for your skill at playing the game but also your people skills, a well rounded person who shows respect will also receive respect from their community.
What is your idea of a perfect clan?
We have many previous members who join CSK and never understand what the meaning of being in a clan means, please don't have extreme ideas that CSK is going to be a perfect clan, there are no perfect clans out there, every clan has it's highs and lows, if you don't like something then you need to become involved in helping to change it for the better, if your one of those people who come to a clan and then don't like something and then just leave, please don't join CSK in the first place, your just wasting your time and ours.
Because we have had many member who have joined and then left the clan because they felt CSK was not moving in the direction they wanted we have had to modify our join and initiation rules considerably, thus making it even harder to join the clan, Clan hoppers and phony beware, our dedicated members can spot you a mile away.
Being in a clan is much more than throwing on a clan tag and saying I'm in a clan yahoo! and is definitely not what being in CSK is about.
How to become a CSK Member
#1 RULES
If you think you have what it takes to be a CSK member, Register for this site and become involved in it you must follow our new recruit guidelines, but first please read our member rules.
#2 REGISTER
Once you read the rules and understand what is required of you then register for the web site
#3 SUBMIT APPLICATION
You need to also submit an application in our forums, this is basically a forum post that lets members know who you are and what your about, kinda like an ice breaker.
Just proceed to the following link and read that thread to grab that application then just copy and paste it to your own thread and fill it out.

#4 YOU NEED VOTES!
Next you will need to obtain the votes from current members of the clan to be accepted as a full member.
Depending on the number of current clan members you will need a percentage of votes from the total number of members, currently to become a full member you need 10 votes.
You can click on the below link to be taken to the vote topic and post your own vote thread, again just follow what other members have done and you will be fine.
You can only receive votes from current full members or higher, so recruit votes will not count.
Once you create your vote thread our full members will ask you 1 question each, these questions will be from either our code of conduct or from our member rules pages.
In order to receive a yes vote you must answer these questions correctly.
Currently at this time you must receive 10 votes from our full members, Recruits can not vote for you, only full members can vote. Also CptnRyan does not vote for new members.
#5 WHATS NEXT?
Once you complete all the above steps you will need to complete a 1v1 and a 5v5 scrim.
The 1v1 consists of just playing a 10 round match against one of our elite clan members, the reason for this is to see where your skill level is at, that's it, you don't have to win or do well as it will have no bearing on your entrance into the clan so don't worry.
Next is the 5v5, once your done with your 1v1 we will invite you to do a 5v5 scrim with 4 of our full members.
At this time we will provide you with your Ventrilo account information.
Once all the above is complete you will be invited into the CSK clan as a Recruit member, you will be given your recruit tags and at this time you will go through a hazing period....and that's all I will say about that :-)
You will need to keep your Recruit tags on for a period of 30 days, during this time you are considered a recruit minion, you are still required to follow all the rules and code of conduct of CSK and participate
in all clan functions, during this time you must show up for at least 75% of all clan meetings which means you can miss only 1 meeting in a month of being a recruit.
#6 Final Step - JOINING THE CLAN ROSTER
The final step is to join the clan roster, once you have completed all the above we will tell you to join the roster, to join the roster you just click the link below and follow the instructions.
Yeah joining CSK is very involved and takes time, but out procedures are in place to make sure that we have members who are willing and able to make sacrifices and will be here for the clan as well as the clan to be here for its members.
